The Catholic community reacts to Ai Trump’s image about him as a Pope

The image produced by AI from President Donald Trump dressed when the Pope withdrew criticism from several Catholics after being posted on social media just a few days before the conclave of the Pasa to choose the next Pope began in Rome.
The picture, which was shared on Trump’s social media and the official White House account on Friday night, showed the image of the president produced by AI wearing a papal clothing and sat on the throne.

Cardinal Timothy Dolan, Archbishop of New York, was questioned by reporters about the picture after he completed a service in a church in Rome on Sunday. In his response, Dolan used Italian words, “Brutta Figura,” which means the position is embarrassing.
“I hope he has nothing to do with it,” Dolan said. “That’s not good. Like an Italian saying, it is a brutta figure (embarrassing).”
The New York Catholic Conference also voiced anger in the picture, saying, “Nothing is smart or funny about this image, Mr. President.”

Pastor James Martin, a Papal contributor for ABC, said that “this week”, “people are surprised by it and think it is a very bad taste, but here in Rome more people are worried about the next pope than the current president.”

When the conservative commentator Bill Kristol wrote in X, “Hey, @jdvance, you are fine with disrespect and mocking this Holy Father?” vice President answer“As a general rule, I am fine with people who tell jokes and are not good with people who started the stupid war who killed thousands of people.”

When asked to respond to the criticism, the Press Secretary of the White House Karoline Leavitt said President Trump “flew to Italy to pay homage to Pope Francis and attended his funeral, and he had become a loyal champion for Catholics and religious freedom,” according to The Associated Press.
The process to choose the next whale will begin on Wednesday, May 7, according to the Vatican.
