New Mexico Republican Headquarters Targeted in Alleged Burning Attacks, Officials said

The Headquarters of the Republic of New Mexico was targeted by the suspect of the burning attack on Sunday, according to party officials.
Around 5:56 in the morning on Sunday, the saving of Albuquerque’s fire was sent to the headquarters for reported structural fires, officials said.
The flame was controlled within five minutes after their arrival and no injury was reported, said the fire rescue.

The structure suffered from “damage to the front entrance and smoke damage throughout the building,” said Fire Rescue.
The words “Ice = KKK” are also painted with a spray in the building, the officials said.
Republican New MEXICO said the incident was “intentional arson.”
“This terrible attack, driven by hatred and intolerance, is a direct attack on our values, freedom and rights of our political expression,” said party officials in A statement on Sunday.
Party officials say this is not an isolated incident, claiming it is part of “patterns that interfere with political motivated violence that has disturbed our country – partly driven by the silence and impulse of implicit from progressive leaders who refuse to condemn these actions.”
Republican Chairperson of New Mexico Amy Barela said those who “use violence to damage the state and our country must be held accountable.”
“The Republic of New Mexico will not be silenced,” Barela said in a statement. “We will emerge from stronger, more united and more determined to fight for New Mexico people and the future of our country.”

New Mexico Democratic Party words on x that it also “condemned the office vandalism @newmexicogop as hard as possible.”
“We argue that this kind of action has absolutely no place in our democracy, & peaceful discourse “The organization is the only way to approach political differences in our country,” wrote the party. ” We hope that anyone who is responsible is found and held accountable. “
Rep. Democrat New Mexico Teresa Leger Fernandez added“Political violence is unacceptable, including arson attack at the GOP New Mexico headquarters. The perpetrators must be held accountable. Every American must be able to participate freely and safely in our democracy.”
Leticia Muñoz, Executive Director of the Republic of State of the State of New Mexico, said he was “grateful to the first respondent and law enforcement who saved our office from burning to the ground.”
“My determination is even stronger today to continue to ‘fight’ for our country,” said Muñoz in A statement.
The rescue of Albuquerque’s fire works with FBI and alcohol bureaus, tobacco, firearms and explosives to investigate this incident, officials said.
