Admin Trump’s direct update: Layoffs begin in HHS, including on FDA and CDC
Asked if he wanted to keep Elon Musk in the White House after his 130 days of office as a special government employee ended, Trump said Musk would return at one time.
“Well, I think he’s amazing. But I also think he has a big company to run. So, at a certain point he will return. He wants,” Trump said.

“Oh, I will take care of him as long as I can take care of him. He is a very talented man. You know, I love a very smart person. He is very smart, and he does a good job,” Trump said, pointing to “400 billion, 500 billion” that the Department of Efficiency of the government had saved the government.
The Doge website currently places savings at $ 140 billion, although most of it without receipt.
