Democrats Adam Schiff Presses Dod Inspector General for Details of Qatar Trump Aircraft Prize

Senator Adam Schiff, D-Calif., Requested that the Inspector General Office of the Defense Department launch an investigation of the role of the department in “facilitating and serving as a pass-through” for Trump’s administration to receive luxury jet donated by the Qatar government to be used as Air Force One news, ABC has been studied exclusively.
President Donald Trump confirmed on social media this week an ABC news report that his government was preparing to receive an aircraft, calling it “Transparent and Transparent Transactions” with the Department of Defense.
In a letter sent on Tuesday, it was also signed by the minority leader of the Chuck Schumer Senate, DN.Y., and members of the Senate Senate Service Committee Jack Reed, Dr.I., along with six other Democrats of the Senate, Schiff was raised for the Acting Inspector General Stebbins a number of constitutional security issues, law and national gifts related to the prize of Qatar.
“Public reports increase prospects that are troubling that administration involves DOD to (1) washing this inconsistent prize, so that the department can provide protection to provide aircraft transfers of official prizes performances; (2) Placing responsibilities to DOD to repair aircraft at sufficient costs for our taxpayers; and (3) finally transferring it to the President Trump President Library.

Democrats ask Stebbins to launch an investigation of DOD involvement by facilitating the potential transfer of foreign prizes and asking for “comprehensive audits and investigations” into “fraud, waste, and abuse” when the potential transfer is complete, bearing in mind that the required retrofit of the aircraft needs to occur if it must be used as the Air Force. They also emphasized that Trump’s administration avoided constitutional congress fences by receiving foreign gifts.
“The risk of DOD becomes involved in an effort to dare to avoid constitutional restrictions on the receipt of personal prizes from foreign governments without the approval of the congress,” they continued in the letter.
The letter also requested, “In a secret form if necessary,” Estimated costs and possible timelines for reinforcement and installation of communication and other equipment needed to meet the security and cons intelligence requirements for the one air force fleet and whatever time has been determined by the White House so that the aircraft is ready to be used by Trump.

They also ask whether the modifications needed can be done in such a time frame to meet the One Air Force Standards and what risks might be associated with the time line. In addition, they ask for an answer whether the contract available for the other Air Force aircraft will continue or end and how much it costs.
The last request is whether there will be a risk of counter intelligence and security by combining this aircraft, provided by foreign governments, into the one air force fleet.
“Dod Oig received the letter this afternoon and we were reviewing him,” said Inspector General Inspector General Inspector Mollie Halpern in a statement.
The main aircraft used in the Air Force One fleet currently includes two old Jumbo Boeing 747-200 jets that have been operating since the early 1990s. Air Force contracts with Boeing to replace the aircraft are full of delays and cost swelling, with the estimated Boeing’s latest shipping date is now scheduled for 2027.

Earlier on Tuesday, Schumer sent a separate letter to the Attorney General Pam Bondi who expressed concern about the “Naked Corruption Appearance” caused by Trump’s plan reported to receive a jet from the Qatar government. Schumer also said he was sure that the jet was a “big security risk” and quoted reporting that Bondi personally signed a transaction. Considering what Schumer is called “Bondi’s central role in approved by the proposal,” he asked Bondi to respond to a number of questions related to the proposed talented aircraft.
