Zelenskyy urged Russia’s ‘tough’ steps after Trump showed frustration with Putin

London – Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called for a “difficult step” further towards Russia to encourage President Vladimir Putin into the ceasefire agreement, showing after another drone round that Moscow “did not care about diplomacy.”
Cross -distance cross -boundaries continue as long as US mediated efforts to secure a ceasefire in Ukraine, which is intended as a jump for a broader peace agreement to end his 3 -year -old neighboring invasion of 3 -year -old neighbor.
Both Kyiv and Moscow last week agreed to freeze attacks in the Black Sea and energy infrastructure, although the two accused others of violating the pause on the energy target that attacked.
In the video address Sunday night, Zelenskyy reported “more attacks and shootings” in seven Ukraine regions. “Geography and brutality of Russian attacks, not only occasionally, but literally every day and night, show that Putin does not care about diplomacy,” he said.

“For several weeks now, there has been a US proposal for unconditional ceasefire,” continued Zelenskyy. “And almost every day, in response to this proposal, there are Russian drones, bombs, firing artillery and ballistic attacks.”
“Russia deserves increased pressure – all difficult actions that can damage their capacity to fight and maintain a system that does not want anything other than war,” said Zelenskyy. “Sanctions against Russia are very important. More air defense for Ukraine is very important. More cooperation and unity among all partners are very important.”
President Donald Trump on Sunday hinted his clear frustration with a lack of progress towards a peaceful agreement in Ukraine, told NBC News that he was “very angry” to Putin after Russian leaders criticized Zelenskyy and called for his transfer for the transition government.
Trump added that he would consider implementing new sanctions on profitable Russian oil exports and to any country that bought its oil. China and India are one of the most significant customers for Russian oil products.
The President then told reporters at the Air Force One that his government made significant progress towards ending the war. Asked about his relationship with Putin, Trump replied, “I don’t think he will return with his words.”
“I have known him for a long time,” Trump said. “We always get along well even though Russia, Russia, Russian tricks.”

The President said he was “disappointed” by Putin’s latest attack on Zelenskyy. “He considers it not credible, he should make an agreement with him, whether you like it or you don’t like it, so I’m not happy with it.”
Asked whether there was a deadline for Russia to approve a ceasefire, Trump suggested that there was a “psychological deadline.” He added, “If I think they knocked on us, I wouldn’t be happy about it.”
Russia and Ukraine continued cross -border attacks until Sunday night to Monday morning.
The Ukrainian Air Force said Russia launched two missiles and 131 drones to the country last night, which was said to have been shot 57 drones and 45 lost on flights without causing damage. The Sumy, Donetsk, Kharkiv, Kyiv and Zhytomyr regions were influenced by the attack, the Air Force said in a post for telegram.
