Youth lawyer accused

The family of a 17 -year -old student who was accused of murder in the fatal stretch of other students at a middle school meeting last week was “very sad” for the death, the teenage lawyer said in their first public statement since the incident while calling the public to “refrain from rushing to the assessment.”
The incident occurred on April 2 at the Frisco Independent School District Stadium in Frisco, Texas, during the track and field championships involving many schools in the district.
Austin Metcalf, 17, a 11th grade student at Frisco Memorial High School, died after the police said other students stabbed him during a fight at Bleachers at the meeting.
The suspect in the deadly stabbing Anthony, a student at Frisco Centennial High School-was charged with committing a first-class murder, the police said.
His family has defended the defense lawyer Dallas-from Worth-Area Billy Clark from the Law Firm Clark and Kim Cole from K Cole Law in this case, according to a joint press release from their company.
“Karmelo and the entire Anthony family are very sad that life is gone and condolences to the Austin Metcalf family,” lawyer said in a statement on Monday.
“During this difficult time, we urged people to refrain from rushing to the assessment before all facts and evidence presented,” he continued. “Karmelo, like all US citizens, is entitled to a fair and impartial legal process; we are committed to ensuring that Karmelo rights are indeed protected in every phase of the criminal justice system.”

Anthony was detained in Collin Regency prison with $ 1 million bonds.
The lawyers said they planned to work with the Collin County District Prosecutor’s Office to find reduced bonds and “better determination than the accusations raised.”
“This will certainly be a long path ahead and during this challenging time, we ask for prayers for both families and we ask for your patience and respect for the legal process when we look for the truth,” the lawyer said.
After the incident, Anthony’s family had launched a fundraising on the Giveendgo platform, which on Tuesday afternoon had gathered more than $ 236,000. The fundraising page does not specify how the funds will be used.
Anthony allegedly admitted the murder and officers told them that he protected himself, according to the arrest report.
An officer who responded to the scene said Anthony told him without compromise, without being asked questions about the incident, “I protect myself,” according to the arrest report.
When the officer told the officer who responded that he had “suspected suspects,” Anthony reportedly answered, “I was not accused, I did it,” according to the arrest report.

Anthony “made another spontaneous statement” and reportedly asked an officer whether what was happening “could be considered defending himself,” according to the arrest report.
The stabbing occurred under a memorial high school tent at the Bleachers Stadium around 10 am on April 2, according to the arrest report.
Officers who responded said they talked to many witnesses, including people who reported that the quarrel began after Metcalf told Anthony to move from under their team’s tent, according to the arrest report.
The witness reported that Anthony allegedly won into his bag and said, “I touched and saw what happened,” according to the arrest report.
Metcalf won Anthony to move him, according to a witness, and Anthony allegedly issued what the witness described as a black knife and “pierced Austin once in the chest and then fled,” said the arrest report.

Metcalf family
“It doesn’t make sense,” Metcalf’s mother, Meghan Metcalf, told ABC Dallas affiliates Panel in emotional comments last week. “Just because the child is crazy, my child is no longer here, and I don’t understand it.”
Chief of Police Frisco David Shilson called the incident as “an act of unreasonable violence” in A Long statement Last week while delivering “the deepest condolences to all the families involved, especially the Metcalf family.”
He also warned that false information related to stabbing is being circulated on social media and “only to trust information that comes from official broadcasts and verified sources.”
Shilson said the police were investigating fake accounts made using his name that “perpetuated the wrong information” on the incident. The police said they were pursuing accusations of crime.
