Trump detonated Zelenskyy for saying peace ‘was very far,’

London – President Donald Trump on Monday criticized Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy for saying a peaceful agreement “is very far.”
“The last agreement about ending the war was very, very far. Not even anyone started all of these steps,” Zelenskyy said on his way home from London after a peak meeting with European leaders.
Trump calls it the “worst statement that can be made” by the President of Ukraine, write To be honest social, part: “This is the worst statement that can be made by Zelenskyy, and America will not stand it longer!”
Zelenskyy on Monday, Monday expressed his gratitude over the years of American support in a statement that ended a turbulent week of transatlantic diplomacy who saw dramatic rest and the public with the Trump government.
Zelenskyy framed outreach this week as the beginning of a longer process that could result in a peaceful agreement to end the Russian three -year invasion of his country. “There will be many meetings and joint efforts in the next few days and weeks,” Zelenskyy said in a video posted on the President’s website.
“There will be diplomacy for peace,” he added. “And for the sake of all of us standing together – Ukraine, all of Europe, and of course America.”
Kremlin, meanwhile, said Monday “very important” to encourage Zelenskyy to make a peaceful agreement, echoing arguments made by Trump in a controversial Oval office meeting on Friday with Ukraine leaders.

“He does not want peace. One must make Zelenskyy want peace,” said Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, his statement reflects Russia’s old fake narrative who blamed Kyiv for Moscow’s three -year invasion and more than a decade of cross -border aggression.
“If Europeans can do it, they must be respected and praised,” Peskov said.
On Monday, Zelenskyy reacts to another night of Russian long -range missiles and drone attacks, writing on telegrams, “Ukraine struggles for a normal and safe life, for a fair and reliable peace. We want this war to end. But Russia does not want it and continue the air terror.” “
“Those who want negotiations to accidentally hit people with ballistic missiles,” added the President. “To force Russia to stop the strike, we need greater joint strength in the world.”
Trump is expected to meet with his national security advisor on Monday afternoon for direction about Ukraine, many sources told ABC News.
Briefing will include national security advisors Mike Waltz, State Secretary Marco Rubio and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth. This group will discuss the next steps after Zelenskyy was asked to leave the White House after the Oval Oval Oval Meeting last week.
The fiery Zelenskyy meeting on Friday with Trump and Vice President JD Vance showed differences in the vision of Ukraine and the US about the Russian War, blaming Trump who had repeatedly and wrongly associated with Kyiv while also trying to damage Zelenskyy’s legitimacy.
Russian officials celebrate the disaster meeting. Peskov told government television on Sunday that Trump’s administration was a “American” foreign policy configuration quickly, “placing them” mostly in line with our vision. “
In Sunday’s statement, Zelenskyy said Ukraine “understood the importance of America, and we were grateful for all the support we received from the United States. There hasn’t been a single day when we have not felt grateful. Because this is a thank you for the preservation of our independence.”
“We need peace, not endless war,” he added. “And that’s why we say that security guarantees are the key to this.”
Zelenskyy attended the peak of European leaders in London on Sunday. British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said he had agreed with Trump and French President Emmanuel Macron that Britain and France would work with Ukraine to formulate a peace plan which would then be presented to the US
Starmer outlines the plan including the continuation of the flow of aid to Ukraine and maintaining economic pressure on Russia. The Prime Minister said that every lasting peace agreement must ensure the sovereignty and security of Ukraine, and that Kyiv must be at the negotiating table.
In terms of agreement, Starmer said Europe would continue to help Ukraine militarily to prevent future military actions by Russia. He also said there would be a “coalition that was willing” to help defend Ukraine.
Starmer said the UK was ready to support plans with boots on the ground and aircraft in the air. He said he also admitted that not all countries would be able to make this kind of commitment.
Starmer stressed that any agreement will require strong US support to succeed.

Zelenskyy said on Sunday that he had been given “clear support from Europe,” reporting “greater unity, stronger readiness for cooperation” from his weekend meeting.
“Everyone is united in the main point – so that peace becomes real, real security guarantees are needed,” the President said. “And this is the position of all of our Europe – from all continents.”
“In the near future, all of us in Europe will form a joint position – the lines that we must achieve and lines that we cannot compromise,” said Zelenskyy. “These positions will be presented to our partners in the United States.”
“Strong and eternal peace, and the right agreement at the end of the war is truly priority with us,” he added.
