‘Too early to tell’ if Iran has submitted its nuclear ambition: Senator Lindsey Graham

Senator Lindsey Graham said “too early to tell” if Iran handed over its nuclear ambition after the US strike to the main nuclear facility in the country, but Trump’s allies said he was sure it was still a “desire” of the regime to make nuclear weapons.
On Friday, President Donald Trump seemed to reject the potential of Iran to continue his marriage program, telling reporters, “The last thing they think of now is an enriched Uranium.”
Pressed by the “this week” Co-danchor Jonathan Karl about these comments and whether Iran has submitted “his ambition to become a nuclear power,” Graham said, “Too early to say. I agree that the three sites were eliminated.”
However, the Republic of South Carolina argues that while Iran “was completed with the enrichment program,” regime “did not finish wanting to destroy Israel or try to pursue us.”

Senator Lindsey Graham spoke with ABC News when it appeared this week, June 29, 2025.

“Midnight Hammer Operation is an extraordinary military success. This has set a program again, I think, a few years,” Graham said. “But the question for the world, does the regime still want to make nuclear weapons? The answer is yes. Do they still want to destroy Israel and pursue us? The answer is yes. Until it changes, we must take care of us – we are in trouble.”
Trump has suggested that there may be meetings with Iran at several points immediately. Graham said he was sure Iran had to openly confirm Israel’s sovereignty before such a meeting took place.
“This is the requirement to sit and speak: They must say, for the first time, the Iranian regime, ‘We recognize Israel’s right to exist. We don’t like the country, we don’t like what they do, but we recognize Israel has the right to exist as a human being,'” Graham said. “If they can’t say that, you will never get a valuable agreement. So before you sit with Iran, for them to say in public for the first time, ‘Israel has the right to,’ and they cannot say that, it tells you everything you need to know about who you are dealing with.”
The following is more highlighted than the interview of Graham:
Graham said Trump told him “it’s time to move” to the Russian Sanctions Bill
Graham: So what is this bill done? If you buy products from Russia and you don’t help Ukraine, then there is a 500% tariff for your products that come to the United States. India and China bought 70% of Putin oil. They keep the war machine running. My bill has 84 co-sponsors. It will allow the president to place tariffs in China and India and other countries, to get them -stop them from supporting the Putin war machine, to bring it to the table for the first time yesterday, the President told me –
Karl: You play golf with him.
Graham: Yes, I play golf with him. He said, ‘It’s time to move, move your bills.’ “There is neglect in the bill, Mr. President, you are responsible whether it will be applied or not.” But we will give President Trump the tools in the tool box he did not have today. After July holidays, we will pass the bill that will allow the President –
Karl: And he will sign it?
Graham: Yes, I think we are in good condition, but he has neglect. It’s up to him how to force it, but we try to bring Putin to the table.
On the Supreme Court’s decision regarding the command: “Shopping jury needs to stop.”
Graham: So the verdict is, a single judge cannot stop policies for all countries – it is outside the mandate of a federal district court judge. You still have a judicial review, but you have to take the chain. A single judge cannot stop the program for all countries. And that is a good thing, because people will judge shopping. The right to be a judge –
Karl: I mean, you will shop for judges on that day.
Graham: Everyone goes-shopping!
Karl: I am old enough to remember when you all support orders to DAPA (suspended actions for American parents and legitimate permanent residents) under Obama.
Graham: Truly! I mean and me here to say, judges need to be stopped. We need to have a system where if you will order policies for the nation, it is done at a higher level than a single judge for left or right.
About Trump attacking fellow Senator Republic Thom Tillis
Karl: The President continued the scolding of Tillis last night, saying he would meet the main challenger, saying that he was magnificent about all this. What are you doing about that? Is that magnificent?
Graham: I was at the end of the recipient (laughing).
Karl: Yes, you have.
Graham: He runs hard, and he can forgive. We try to do difficult things that must be done and must be done. We debt $ 37 trillion. Medicaid has grown 50% in five years. This will take over Medicare. What we have done [in this bill] Limited growth of up to 6% for two years, 4% after that, so Medicaid is not cut.
