The trial hates menendez Brothers will be next week; Risk assessment says they cause moderate risk if released

Erik and Lyle Menendez’s revenge hearing that is highly anticipated will move forward on May 13 and 14, a judge decided on Friday, because of the new details about the alleged behavior of the brothers behind the bars of iron revealed in court.

The trial was held on Friday to determine whether the case of the hatred of brothers and sisters must include information from the risk assessment of the newly resolved California Liberation Council, which was carried out as part of a separate pathway. Risk assessment comes at the request of Governor Gavin Newsom as part of your clemency offer; Brothers are pursuing various paths to freedom, and the pathway is separate from the hated path.

Judge Michael Jesic indicated that he would consider risk assessment, but that the information in it was the introduction and the lawyer could not question the forensic psychologist who did the exam.

In this April 1991 file file, Lyle, left, and Erik Menendez appeared in court for a preliminary hearing held at Beverly Hills, California.

Risk assessment says Erik and Lyle have led to a moderate risk for the community if they are released.

The assessment revealed that brothers had illegal cellphones in prison, among many other violations. Erik Menendez has a new phone -new in January this year, which was emphasized by the Los Angeles District Prosecutor Nathan Hochman was during an attempt to hate when he was supposed to be in his best behavior.

Erik Menendez is suspected of buying and trading drugs and allegedly helping prisoners commit tax fraud many years ago, according to the assessment. Psychologists find Lyle Menendez is narcissistic.

The assessment says brothers have the possibility not to follow the law out of prison if they ignore the rules in prison.

Jesic seemed to stop many findings.

The possibility of assessment includes positive work that has been done by brothers in prison as well. Hochman’s predecessor, George Gascón, praised them for advancing their education, rehabilitating themselves and starting a program to help other prisoners.

Also at the Friday trial, Mark Geragos’s defense lawyer withdrew his efforts to make Hochman start this case after making accusations with his background and accusing Da to rent a crisis community relations company to pursue brothers and sisters. Hochman denied that, saying that the PR company was not for brothers and sisters but for his campaign, and that the PR company ended its work after he was elected in November.

The Friday trial followed the dramatic court performance on April 17, which was originally designated as a trial to hate brothers and sisters. However, on April 16, the District Prosecutor’s Office in the submission urged Jesic to postpone the trial that hates if he cannot get a copy of the risk assessment report on time for the court.

Hochman, who wants to look after brothers and sisters behind bars, argues that the risk assessment is relevant to a hated case, while Geragos noted a strong desire for the assessment was only used for a parole in June 13.

For the trial to hate next week, Geragos said he would have seven witnesses than 20 witnesses previously planned before. Two experts are expected to testify.

Erik and Lyle Menendez – who served life imprisonment without the possibility of parole for the killing of their parents in 1989, Jose and Kitty Menendez – received support from more than 20 family members in their efforts to be released after 35 years behind bars.

Their grudge case gained momentum in October when Gascón announced that he supported hatred.

Gascón recommends the penalty of the lives of brothers and sisters without the possibility of parole is deleted, and says they must be punished for murder, which will be a sentence of 50 years for life. Because the two siblings are under 26 years at the time of crime, they will qualify for immediate parole with new punishment.

The Gascón office said that recommendations that hate calculated many factors, including rehabilitation in prison and harassment or trauma that contributed to the crime.

In November, Gascón lost his selection offer to Hochman, who in March submitted a motion to attract the petition who hated, mentioning the claim of self-defense of the brothers and sisters from Litani “Lies.” The judge rejected the request by Hochman.
