The judge ordered thousands of federal employees to be recovered

A federal judge on Thursday ordered Trump’s government to return thousands of employees who were fired last month from half a dozen federal agents.

The US District Judge William Alsup ordered Trump administration to return employees in the Department of Veterans Affairs, Department of Agriculture, Department of Defense, Department of Energy, Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of Finance.

He also forbade the personnel management office to issue guidelines about whether employees can be stopped.

Alsup, a appointed Clinton, also ordered the discovery and deposition of the Senior Personnel Management Advisor Noah Peters, who was in line with the Department of Government Efficiency Elon Musk.

The judge slammed the lawyer representing the Department of Justice because he refused to make the Acting Director of OPM Charles Ezell available for a cross examination and to withdraw the declaration of his swear, which the judge was referred to as “fake.”

“The government, I believe, has tried to thwart the ability of the judge to get the truth of what happened here, and then set fake declarations,” he said. “That’s not how it works in the US District Court.”

Lawyers to the Department of Justice did not directly comment on the judge’s orders.

The lawyer who represented a group of trade unions and interest groups asked for alsup to immediately return thousands of government -term government employees who had been stopped allegedly at the direction of Ezell.

“There is a mountain of evidence before the court that OPM directs it. OPM’s actions violate the law. The plaintiff has been established, and there is an uncovered damage that occurs every minute, and that is a snowball,” said Danielle Leonard, the plaintiff’s lawyer, said.

“You will not bring the people here to cross. You are afraid to do it, because, you know, a cross will reveal the truth. This is the US District Court,” he said. “I tend to doubt that you say the truth.”

If the Trump government wants to reduce the size of the federal government, it needs to follow the process set in federal law, Alsup said.

“The words I gave you today should not be considered as a kind of wild and crazy judge in San Francisco said that administration cannot be involved in reducing in forcing,” he said.

“The reason that OPM wants to place this ‘based on performance’ is, at least in my assessment, is a trick to avoid reducing their actions because the law always allows you to fire someone for performance,” Alsup said, adding that employees who were stopped for “performance” could not even get unemployment insurance.

The judge also criticized the government for handing over the declaration of the Ezell which he believed was wrong, then pulled it and made Ezell not available for testimony.

“You draw the declaration rather than doing that. Come on, it’s fake. It makes me upset. I want you to know that I have practiced or served in this court for more than 50 years. And I know how we get the truth, and you don’t help me to add the truth. You give me a fake press press,” he said.

Everett Kelley, National President of the American Government Employee Federation, praised the judge’s decision.

“We are grateful to this employee and the critical work they do, and Afge will continue to fight until all federal employees who are fired unfairly and illegally are given their work back,” he said in a statement.

While the judge initially suggested that the way to fight the shooting could be administrative, he noted that the Trump government tried to “destroy” and “confiscate” the Merit System Protection Council by firing the head and special advisor Hampton Dellinger.

“I was submitted to something that there was no jurisdiction,” Alsup said.

The judge also ordered the discovery, he said, “To get it to the truth because the government says one thing, and you say another.”

“I just want to say this is a sad day when our government will fire a number of good employees and say it is based on performance when they know good and good it is a lie,” Alsup said. “That should not be done in our country. It’s fake to try to avoid legal requirements. “
