Spacex lost another spaceship in the latest launch

Seven weeks after an explosion sent a piece of starship launch vehicle that fell into the Atlantic, the company launched the largest and most powerful rocket on Thursday before losing contact with Mega rockets after losing several engines.

Starship of more than 400 feet, powered by a super heavy booster with 33 raptor machines, was raised successfully at 18:30 ET from Launchpad Spacex at the Starbase facility near Brownsville, Texas. But about nine minutes entering the mission, the ship began to spin out of control. Some of the engines are lit, and mission control loses contact with crafts.

There is no astronaut on the spaceship. Spacex stopped the video bait from the launch without providing a location for crafts or where debris might land.

In posting on xSpacex said the vehicle “experienced an unjected dismantling” and the contact was lost.

“We will review data from today’s flight test to better understand the cause of root. As usual, success comes from what we learn, and today’s flight will offer additional lessons to increase the reliability of Starship.

Land stops were issued at Orlando International Airports, Palm Beach, Miami and Fort Lauderdale on Thursday night due to debris launching of space.

According to the company, this flight test is designed to encourage the ability of space ships to be further than previous efforts. This mission should include the distribution of the first starship and several experiments re -enter to make Spacex closer to bring the top stage back to the launch location for the finally catch. It will make the Starship become a spaceship that can be fully reused. The company says the ship is designed to take off vertical and land on a hard surface.

Unlike the Falcon 9 SpaceX rocket, which has flown with a design that can be reused in part for years, Starship is designed to be fully used and able to carry crew and cargo on a long-term interplanet mission.

Spacex says Starship can also carry larger loads, such as satellites and cargo, rather than launch vehicles that are currently used and can support long -term missions to the moon and have the potential for Mars.

The company said the spacecraft would eventually be able to carry up to 100 people on long -term interplanet flights.

While the spaceship is lost, Thursday’s mission is a successful return and catch of the driving force – one of the most technical aspects of the mission.

The first -stage booster that was very heavy executed the controlled offspring back to the launch tower, slowing down from the supersonic speed before being captured by the giant robot arm of the launch tower. The first phase of returning and catching booster is considered as one of the most challenging mission aspects.

This marks the third time Spacex has returned and captured the stage at the booster using the launch tower.

In January, Spacex also lost the spaceship aircraft space of spaceship after Mission Control announced that they had lost all communication with spacecraft eight and a half minutes after exploding. Debris from the launch vehicle then seen falling over the Turks & Caicos in Atlantic. The company believes that vibrations that are stronger than anticipated cause a leak that supports, causing the ship to fire. FAA slowed flights in and around Florida for a while because of concerns about debris damage to the aircraft.

For the Thursday test mission, Spacex said they included a number of main improvements to space ships, including re -designed front flap to reduce re -heating exposure, 25%propellant capacity increase, allowing longer missions and better performance, and an Aviononic system that was fully overhauled to increase reliability, for complex operations.

They also removed some of the boat protective heated tiles to the vulnerable parts of stress from the spaceship ship during re-entering while testing some of the variations of metal tiles designed to protect vehicles from extreme heat when returning to earth.
