Sherrill, Ciattarelli won the New Jersey Governor Election – where Trump was in front and center

The Associated Press has projects that Rep. Mikie Sherrill (D-NJ) US will win the primer of the Governor of New Jersey Democracy, and former member of the State Council Jack Ciattarelli will win the primer of the Governor of the Republic of New Jersey-establish a competitive competition in November where Donald Trump’s inroads with Garden State voters can be tested.
The Republican party hopes to reverse the governor from Blue to Merah, and show the results of last year’s president as a sign of the state to be more profitable for the Republican Party.
“This year’s governor election is very important for the future of New Jersey. You will decide whether New Jersey is a high tax, high crime, a holy country,” Trump said during a general meeting for Ciattarelli, which he was passed, held by telephone in early June. “New Jersey is ready to get out of the blue horror show.”
Vice President of Democratic Candidate Kamala Harris won the New Jersey with only about 6 points of percentage in 2024, but the president who was then President Joe Biden won the country with around 16 points percentage in 2020. That means Rep. Mikie Sherrill must campaign in a state that may be redder than before.
“We built a country, and people said the scars we had were ugly … The president came here without stopping to his golf course and called our country a horror show – but came in November, we sent shots across the arc,” Sherrill told supporters on Tuesday night.

General elections can also be a test of Trump’s support for Trump without Trump at the top of the ballot. Jack Ciattarelli is likely to benefit from Trump’s support in the primer, but without Trump on tickets in November, he must convince Trump Pangkalan in New Jersey to remain changing.
“We won because our campaign was about people, not politics … we won because we talked about important problems, the critical problems faced by our country and my plan for a safer, more prosperous, and affordable new jersey,” Ciattarelli told supporters at the Tuesday Election Eve.

Josh Gottheimer, which represents the 5th district of the country; Mayor of Newark Ras Baraka; Mayor of City Jersey Steve Fulop; President of the New Jersey Sean Spiller Education Association; and former president of the state senate Steve Sweeney.
Ciattarelli faced Conservative Radio Personality Bill Spadea, State Senator Jon Bramnick, former Edlewood Mayor Cliffs Mario Kranjic, and contractor Justin Barbera.
This contest is on the track to be the most expensive election in the history of New Jersey, with more than $ 85 million spent on advertisements last Wednesday, According to a report From the adipact media tracking agent.
Among Democrats, Gottheimer has the most advertising expenditure supporting him ($ 22.8 million), followed by Fulop ($ 17.8 million).
