Senator Dick Durbin announced retirement after a few decades at the congress
Old Dick Durbin Senator, D-IL., announced on Wednesday That he will not look for a re -election in 2026 and will retire after serving for more than four decades at the congress.
“In my heart, I know it’s time to pass the torch,” Durbin said in the video. “The threat to democracy and our way of life is real, and I can convince you that I will do all my power to fight for Illinois and the future of our country every day from the rest of my time in the Senate.”
