International alarm grew because of battles in Western Syria, where hundreds of civilians were reportedly killed in the middle of an intense clash between the new government of the country and loyalists against the regime of former President Bashar Al-Assad. Pro-government forces have been accused of killing a number of residents in the massacre of revenge.

In a update on Saturday, the Syrian observatory for human rights, a British -based war monitor that tracks the victim, reported that 1,018 people have been killed in the last two days, including 745 civilians who are said to be killed in the “sectarian massacre” by loyal warriors to the new government.

The report has not been confirmed independently by ABC News.

Fighting – The worst violence since Assad was overthrown three months ago – has gripped the area on the western coast of Syria, in the former heart of Assad around Latakia and Tartus where the Assad loyal -armed loyal armed for the new government security forces on Thursday.

The new government security forces, along with thousands of armed pro-government fighters, have flowed into the region, disagreeing with loyalists.

The coastal area is home to the Alawite minority which belongs to Assad and who is now the target of reported mass murder.

The Associated Press spoke to the villagers of the villages and cities of Alawite, who said armed people committed a murder of revenge against Alawites, most men, on the streets. They said some houses were looted and burned.

Along with civilian casualties, the war monitor reported 125 members of the government security forces had been killed together with 148 militants related to loyalists.

In addition, electricity and drinking water are mostly cut off in the nearest area for the second day in a row, said the Observatory. Considering the blackout and “deteriorating the security situation,” the bakery and the market have also been closed, said the Observatory.

Syrian temporary leader Ahmed al-Shara spoke to the country on Friday, blaming violence to people who are loyal to the old regime and say they are trying to test new Syria by arousing riots and fragmentation. He called for calm and ordered his security forces not to allow excess. He said that anyone who injured civilians would be held accountable.
