Hegseth, Caine said the US attack on Iran's nuclear site uses 'misdirection' and bait

The US attack on Iran’s nuclear site is a complex mission that uses bombing and “misdirection” to carry out secret operations, Defense Minister Pete Hegseth told a press conference on Sunday morning.

The chairman of the Joint Staff of the General and Caine, stood with Hegseth, said the mission was “complex and high -risk mission” which was known to be only a few people and relied on bait to protect the integrity of the mission.

Decoy B-2 Demon bomber flew over the Pacific to Guam on Saturday to attract the attention of the mission, said Caine. The news report at that time reflected the movement.

But the B-2 bombers who were actually used in the mission were mobilized before and flew under the dark cover for 18 hours to achieve their destination on Saturday night, said Caine.

B-2 flew endlessly, refueling several times in flights in what has been the longest flight involving the fleet since 2001, he added.

“It takes a lot of accuracy. This involves the highest operational misdirection and security,” Hegseth said, adding that B-2 went “in and out and returned without the world knowing at all.”

A total of 14 buster bunker bombs were dropped – with the first two dropped at 2 am, Iranian time. The attack also involved US submarines which launched more than two dozen the Tomahawk land attack on the main target of the surface.

“Throughout the mission, we maintain a surprise element,” Caine said.

Iran did not mobilize the warrior or surface of the air missile during the mission, said Caine – the signal that Iran was also trapped by the attack.
