Hamas responded to a ceasefire proposal, repeating the demands

Hamas’s main demand is “to achieve a permanent ceasefire, complete withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, and ensure a sustainable flow of humanitarian assistance,” according to the group.
The group’s demands remain the same as the previous ceasefire negotiations.
Hamas said the hostage exchange proposal would involve the release of 10 hostages of life and the body of 18 died hostages, in return for Palestinian prisoners.

Israeli troops have killed at least 60 Palestinians and injured 284 others in all Gaza Strips for the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Health managed by Hamas Gaza said Saturday.
At least 54,381 people in Gaza have been killed and 124,054 have been injured, according to the Gaza Ministry of Health, since the war began when Hamas attacked Israel on October 7, 2023, killed 1,200 people and took hundreds of hostages hostage. At least 20 hostages remain in Hamas breeding.
Steve Witkoff’s special envoy stated that he received Hamas’s response to the US proposal, describing it as “at all unacceptable.” Witkoff insisted that Hamas approved the US framework proposal before the conversation.
“Hamas must accept the framework proposal that we submit as a basis for the talks of closeness, which we can immediately start next week,” Witkoff said in a post on social media.
“That is the only way we can close the 60-day ceasefire agreement in the coming days where half of the living hostages and half of those who died will return home for their families and where we can have talks near substantive negotiations with good faith to try to achieve a permanent ceasefire,” said Witkoff.
The White House said on Thursday that they had submitted a ceasefire proposal approved by Israel to Hamas.
“I can confirm that the special envoy of Witkoff and the President submitted a ceasefire proposal to Hamas which was supported and supported by Israel. Israel signed this proposal before being sent to Hamas,” Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said on Thursday.
