David Hogg on Wednesday resigned from his position as Deputy Chairperson of the Democratic National Committee and would not run in the new version of the election which will begin Thursday, ABC News has learned.

In a statement that was alive through his PAC, the leaders we deserve to get, Hogg said he resigned to fully focus on the mission of his group to support and support candidates who were in harmony in the preliminary selection of Democrats, the desire at the center of many dramas between Hogg and senior DNC leaders, including Chairman Ken Martin.

Hogg said that there was a “clear fundamental disagreement” between him and party equipment about the role of the deputy chairman.

“I came to this role to play a positive role in creating changes needed by our party. It is clear that there is a fundamental disagreement about the role of the deputy chairman – and it is okay to have disagreement,” Hogg wrote.

“What is not good is to let this remain our focus when there is so much we need to focus on. In the end, I have decided not to run for this future election so that the party can focus on what is truly important. I need to do this job with the leaders we deserve to get, and it will remain my number one mission to build the strongest party,” he added.

Hogg then wrote that he respected his colleagues, despite disapproval. The Deputy Chief of Person, Malcolm Kenyatta, did not keep his frustration a secret with Hogg over the past few weeks.

“I have nothing but admiration and respect for my fellow officers. Although we have disagreement, we are all here to build the strongest party that is possible,” Hogg wrote.

Responding to Hogg resigned, DNC Chair Martin praised his record and hoped he was fine despite increasing tension.

“I praised David for many years of activism, organizing, and fighting for his generation, and while I continued to believe he was a strong voice for this party, I respected his decision to resign from his position as deputy chairman,” Martin said in a statement to ABC News. “I do not hesitate that he will remain an important advocate for Democrats in all maps. I appreciate his services as an officer, his hard work, and his service to the party,” he said.

It seems that the DNC re -election is still on the track, only without hogg on the ticket. Many other details are still unclear, namely if Kenyatta now automatically wins the candidate voting because he is not resisted now.
