Biden said ‘I feel good’ and ‘optimistic’ in the first public comments about cancer care

Former President Joe Biden, after delivering the first public statement since his office announced earlier this month that he had been diagnosed with ‘aggressive “prostate cancer, told reporters on Friday that he felt” optimistic “about his prognosis.

“Well, the prognosis is good. You know, we are doing everything. This moves together. So, I feel good,” Biden said.

He said he had decided on the treatment option, mentioning that he would take various drugs.

“The hope is, we will be able to beat this … it is not in any organs. My bones are strong. It doesn’t penetrate so I feel good,” he added, then said his family was also optimistic about the diagnosis and said “one of the leading surgeons in the world” works with him.

Announcement from the Biden office said there was “metastasis to bone.”

Asked about the new controversy about his mental and physical abilities while serving, Biden joked, with a smile, “You can see that – I am mentally incompetent and I can’t walk.”

And asked about Democrats who said he shouldn’t run anymore, Biden said, “Why don’t they fight me at that time? Because I will defeat them.” He added he was not sorry.

“There are many things that happen. And I think we are in a very difficult time, not only in American history, in world history. I think we are one of the points of inflexion in history in which the decision we make in the next little will determine what things -things for the next 20 years,” he added, said he was proud of his notes as president.
