Former President Joe Biden, after delivering the first public statement since his office announced earlier this month that he had been diagnosed with ‘aggressive “prostate cancer, told reporters on Friday that he felt” optimistic “about his prognosis.

“Well, the prognosis is good. You know, we are doing everything. This moves together. So, I feel good,” Biden said.

He said he had decided on the treatment option, mentioning that he would take various drugs.

“The hope is, we will be able to beat this … it is not in any organs. My bones are strong. It doesn’t penetrate so I feel good,” he added, then said his family was also optimistic about the diagnosis and said “one of the leading surgeons in the world” works with him.

Speaking more generally about the commemoration day, Biden told the participants, “People, every year we gather to remember, remember, to remember women and brave men who give everything to this nation, or as Lincoln calls it, a full size of the last dedication,” Biden said.
