At least one person was killed and two others were injured after a large explosion Sunday morning in the northern Philadelphia who really leveled three lines of lines and damaged several other houses in the surrounding blocks, the officials said.

Firefighters from the Fire Department Philadelphia, using search dogs, continued to filter out debris in the Nicetown environment on Sunday afternoon, looking for victims and what caused the explosion, according to Daniel McCarty, an executive officer of the fire extinguisher.

The causes of explosions and fires have not been determined, said McCarty. He said the federal bureau of alcohol, tobacco, firearms and explosives was in a place that helped in the investigation.

The explosion occurred around 4:50 am local time on Sunday at the West Bristol Street 1900 block in the Nicetown environment in North Philadelphia, the authorities said.

When firefighters and police officers arrived at the scene, they found three row houses that were installed completely collapsed and burned, according to officials, who said firefighters and police immediately began to search through ruins and withdraw two women from one of the collapsed residences.

The woman who was seriously injured was taken with an ambulance to the hospital. One of the victims is in critical condition and the other is in a stable condition, said McCarty.

During the secondary search, a search and rescue dog told the crew about the possibility of a corpse buried in the debris, said a Philadelphia police officer.

“After pulling some debris, we can find that we really have victims who are in collapse. It is also determined that the victim at that time had died in collapse,” the police official said at a press conference.

Mayor Philadelphia Cherelle Parelle said she went to the hospital to examine two injured women and talk to their families.

“Philadelphia, we want to ask you to lift it in prayer,” Parker said. “For all families, we appoint you in prayer, and the city of Philadelphia will remain here and at the scene to ensure that anyone who has been directly or indirectly affected by receiving the support and services they need.”

The explosion, according to McCarty, left many houses in the block around the collapse of the residence with damaged windows and other structural damage.

McCarty said that several vehicles in the area were also damaged and buried under the debris.

Rocky Dotson, who lived two blocks of the explosion, said he heard the explosion.

“I sat in the living room watching TV and suddenly, I heard like ‘explosion,'” Dotson told ABC Philadelphia station WPVI.

Dotson said that before he went outside to check the noise, a relative called him and told him that the house had been destroyed by an explosion near his house.

“I came out and it was only a total chaos,” Dotson said about seeing firefighters and ambulances rushed to the scene.

Dotson said he had just walked in the houses that were destroyed on Friday. “To not see the houses there is crazy,” he said.

McCarty said Pico, Philadelphia, and Philadelphia Gas Works electrical utilities were at the Sunday location in the investigation. He added that about 10 houses in the explosion area had been evacuated and that temporary emergency storage had been opened.

The investigator is “really brick with bricks to find evidence to identify what happened here this morning,” McCarty said.
