The White House clarified that the agreement shown by Trump was with the British.

When asked what was different between the agreement and what he signed with the British at the oval office in May, the President said, “Not much.”

“We just signed the document. This is not – sorry about that …” Trump said when he dropped the document.

“A very important document,” Starmer chimed in with laughter.

“A little windy here. We have just signed it and have been completed. So, we have our trade agreements with the European Union, and this is a fair agreement for both. This will generate a lot of work, a lot of income. And we have a lot, many come,” continued Trump.

The White House provides additional details about steel and aluminum in the US-UK agreement, said that the Trade Secretary Howard Lutnick will determine the product quota that can enter the US without being charged a 25% rate of section 232.

The president flattered Starmer, ending a bilateral meeting with, “The Prime Minister did a good job. I just wanted to say that to the people in the UK, he did a very good job.”
